We’ve always been different.
Normal is something that’s bored us from the moments we were spit into this world, screaming and crying, wondering why we were dispelled from the sanctity of the darkness we both crave.
I guess in a way, it’s made us stronger than we thought we were.
Especially now since we have each other.
I’d do anything for her and she would do anything for me.

We were never meant to be together, but the universe has a way of taking two completely different disasters and putting them together to let destruction reign freely. Our story is born of violence, deceit, and mischief, but it’s one you won’t soon forget.

Welcome to the world according to Pike & Molly.

*Warning: This is an extremely dark, taboo story. There are numerous triggers throughout the story.

Casey’s Rating: 4 ‘WTF Did I Just Read’ Stars

Ho-lee shit this was DARK. Somebody, quick.. bring me some damn holy water to drench myself in!

I’m probably gonna have to rank Daddy Pike, Sweet Molls and her Gigi up there with the most disturbing and gruesome pitch black shizzle I’ve ever read… and I’ve read my fair share of super dark books, folks.

But, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like it. It kept me engaged and cringing in disgust at the same time, and I read it all in one sitting because no matter how vile it was, I couldn’t put it down. It was oddly interesting and also atrocious, and these characters really grew on me even if they were nuttier than squirrel poop.

Molly and Pike were a match made in hell, two people who were forbidden to ever find love with one another. They both had their demons that they exercised together, side by side. And Pike took care of Molly which was sort of endearing in a really screwed up way. I was actually rooting them to do whatever their black hearts desired by the time this book wrapped up because of their circumstances.

These authors though, I mean.. WOW. They took the darkness to a whole new level with Virulent. The writing was superb and on point. As much as I didn’t want to visualize some of the depravity going on in this book, both of these authors have a way with words that brought vivid details to the imagination giving life to this story. The only reason I’m not giving this book 5 stars is because I felt like I needed just a bit more backstory on these characters and some of the gore even made me a bit squeamish… and that’s no easy feat.

So, a bit of a warning here: This book will throw you farrrr down the rabbit hole into a pitch black void cuz it is super duper dark.
