Dating is difficult for someone like me.
I’m obsessive, arrogant, and rude.
This means I must be creative when bedding a woman.
I learn what I can about her through whatever means necessary.
Some call it stalking. I call it clever research.
It gets me what I want and when I want it.
When I get bored, I move on.
My system works like a charm…
Until a little ray of SUNSHINE shows up.

Dating is nonexistent for me.
I’m quirky, silly, and inexperienced.
This means my romantic life is certainly lacking.
I don’t date because no one’s interested.
Some say I’m an independent woman who doesn’t need a man.
But I know I’m on the fast track to becoming a lonely cat lady.
How many cats are too many cats anyway?
My boring world stays that way…
Until my future stepmother’s STALKER shows up.

Casey’s Review

Rating:  4.25 Steamy Stars

This was a steamy little taboo treat that hit the G-spot – er, i mean the sweet spot, for me. It only took about an hour to read, but don’t let the short length fool you because it still packs quite the punch with the heat and the feels.

James is the hunter and little Cerys is the prey, actually she wasn’t even his first choice… her soon to be step-mother was, but Cerys gets under his skin like no one else ever has before and he finds her crazy and odd behavior intriguing and addicting. And Cerys, more than half James’ age (and yes, the age-gap taboo trope checks off here) is not even turned off or scared of James’s stalkerish tendencies. They are like a match made in this weird little heaven they got going on.

“There was something about him. A hint of need. Hunger that he didn’t hide very well. Even though he regarded me with an inkling of desire in his eyes, I wasn’t scared. In fact, I wanted to see what he would do.” – Cerys

“So trusting, this little girl with the strange name and strange hair and strange clothes. So trusting and innocent. Just waiting to be victimized by my expertise in the bedroom. I want to possess and consume her unlike any woman I’ve ever encountered.” – James

These two were fire together and I enjoyed every scorching second of it.

I’ve read lots of K. Webster’s books, but this was my first taste of Dani Rene and I was very pleasantly surprised with their dynamic. Their writing flowed seamlessly together and I almost couldn’t tell who was writing which character. I love that they collaborated together and I hope that they will give us more steamy treats like this one.
